While promoting her new movie Gone Tuesday on Conan, Amanda Seyfried revealed she has the start of what she hopes will be an extensive taxidermy collection.

In addition to a miniature horse, she said, “I have a chick who I just got – her name’s Linda. Well, she’s not alive, but her name would’ve been Linda. I have an owl named Beatrix. I have a few butterflies. That’s about it for now.”

“I’m calling the police,” host Conan O’Brien joked, before surprising his guest with the gift of a “screeching raccoon with a jet pack” that has made numerous appearances on the show.

While she seemed ecstatic about adding to her collection, she had some feedback for O’Brien about the raccoon. “He’s not well-done,” she said, to which he replied, “You’re being critical of the gift I just gave you?”

Luckily, there was an objective third party ready to settle the score. According to sidekick Andy Richter, “She’s not wrong, though. It really is marginally a raccoon.”

It’s been seven years since “Mean Girls” hit theatres in 2004, but Amanda Seyfried remembers working with Rachel McAdams like it was yesterday. The actress recalls her “Mean Girls” experience on the new episode of Diablo Cody’s Web series “Red Band Trailer.”

So, was McAdams as mean as her onscreen character, queen bee Regina George?

“It felt like she was kind of like a big sister,” Seyfried says in the episode, which airs today. “She’s awesome.”

However, Seyfried couldn’t help making a small dig at her co-star, joking about their age difference. (McAdams is seven years older.) “I think she was, like, 54 at that point. No, I’m serious, she was much, she was like 10 years older than us,” said Seyfried. Read full article.

Amanda Seyfried was gung-ho to step into the science fiction thriller “In Time,” and the 25-year-old actress said she could relate to the film’s theme of fleeting time.

“I didn’t know about money, didn’t grow up in the lap of luxury,” Seyfried told OnTheRedCarpet.com in a recent interview. “You know when you are young, just talking about time, it feels like forever – there’s just so much time to live. And now it feels like I’m deplete of time, but a little more money is fun.”

“In Time” takes place in the future, where the human aging gene has been turned off and to avoid overpopulation, people use time as currency. In this world, the rich can live forever and when a young man (Timberlake) inherits a fortune of time, he ends up fighting against the corrupt police force known as “time keepers.”

Seyfried’s character gets taken hostage and ends up running from her family and the time keepers who’re trying to take out Timberlake’s Will Salas character. The film also stars Olivia Wilde as Timberlake’s mother and Matt Bomer as the man who gives his time to Salas.

“You need to see this movie because it’s an exciting sci fi futuristic thrill ride,” Seyfried said. “It’s also important to be reminded of what’s really going on in this world and how it relates to our world and god, I don’t know, we’re all kind of running out of time, so if you want to spend it wisely you’ve got to see it.”

The actress has reportedly split for Ryan Phillippe after four months of dating, though neither actor has confirmed the news.

Seyfried began her on-screen career around 2000, starring in the soap operas “As the World Turns” and “All My Children.” Her breakout role came in the form of Karen, a ditzy high school clique member with a heart of gold, in the teen comedy movie “Mean Girls,” which starred Lindsay Lohan.

Seyfried later went on to star in television shows such as “Veronica Mars” and “Big Love” and appeared in the movies “Mamma Mia!” and “Letters to Juliet.” She recently appeared in the thriller retelling of the Brothers Grimm, “Red Riding Hood.”

“In Time” opened in theaters on October 28, watch a trailer below.
